Aenert news. Energy Exhibitions & Conferences
The ambitious plans to combat climate change, agreed at COP 26 in November 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland, have been put into practice, especially in Scotland itself.

The Scottish government intends to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including aviation and shipping, to zero by 2045. The leading role in this process is assigned to renewable energy sources.

The forthcoming All-Energy 2023 event in Glasgow on May 10-11 will be the UK's largest meeting place for the renewable and low-carbon energy community.

The exhibition in Glasgow will cover such important technology areas as Energy Storage, Offshore Wind, Wave & Tidal, Carbon capture & storage, Hydrogen Utilization – Fuel Cell, Solar, Energy Efficiency and many others.

More than 250 exhibitors and a variety of events will be represented by clean energy suppliers, technology developers, clean energy buyers, policymakers, investors and entrepreneurs. Many well-known companies will participate, including Scottish Power, Siemens Gamesa, UK Research and Innovation, Centrica, Vestas, Enercon, Scottish & Southern Energy.

LED expo 2023, to be held May 11-13 in Mumbai, India, is attracting considerable interest in the huge and growing Indian market. More than 200 exhibitors and more than 12,000 business visitors are expected to attend. Today, the use of LED lighting is a prerequisite for improving energy efficiency in all consumer sectors.

According to the materials of the exhibition, the Global LED lighting industry in 2027 will exceed $ 120 billion with a CAGR of 10%. The CAGR for India will be 21.7%, with a global market share of over 6.5%. The upcoming exhibition in the section relating to LED applications & lighting, will feature such areas, as Architectural lighting, Automotive lighting, Building lighting, Commercial lighting, Exterior lighting, Interior and Office lighting, Special lighting, Street lighting, Tunnel lighting, Underwater & Fountain Lighting.

In a long list of LED lighting products, several dozens of products will be demonstrated, as an example, some of them: LED bollard lights, LED bulbs, LED flat panels, LED floodlight, LED street light, LED tubes, LED underground lamp, LED underwater lights, LED modules, LED traffic lights. A special focus of the exhibition will be smart lighting LEDs which are widely used due to increasing urbanization.

The Enlit Africa 2023 Exhibition and Conference (16-18 May 2023, Cape Town, South Africa) will focus on solving South Africa's major challenges related to electricity supply in the region. It will bring suppliers and consumers together to develop a roadmap for South Africa's transition to modern energy. This will include the development of technologies with low greenhouse gas emissions.

More than 250 exhibitors are planning to participate at the exhibition in Cape Town, and more than 180 expert speakers will take part in the conference.

Currently more than 85% of South Africa's electricity is generated by fossil fuels – mainly coal-fired power plants. The largest number is located in the eastern part of the country, where there are large coal deposits and plants for the production of liquid fuels using coal to liquid and Fischer-Tropsch technology. The share of renewable energy in South Africa, excluding hydropower, in 2021 did not exceed 5%. Thus, there is every reason to consider this event as a critical component in achieving the set goals concerning the energy supply in the region.

Finally, from the long list of other May events, we would like to mention the upcoming 3rd International Joint Conference on Energy and Environmental Engineering (CoEEE 2023) on May 19-21 in Malmo, Sweden. This conference is jointly organized by a number of Chinese and Swedish universities and research centers and is intended primarily for the exchange of experience, research and new ideas between energy and environmental engineering experts.
