The present section contains original studies by EnerTechUp and its partners dedicated to the analysis of patenting activity in the field of advanced energy technologies and technical solutions proposed in patent documents. Also, this section provides graphical materials that conveniently illustrate current state of energy infrastructure in individual countries and regions.
Depending on their specific requirements and qualification level, users can choose different variants of patent studies in the most appropriate configuration.
Patent Statistical Bulletin contain information on recent patents or patent applications (usually for the last 3-year period) in specific, fairly narrow sectors of major energy technologies. Patent bulletins provide basic statistical information, including lists of leading patent offices; main applicants; most popular IPC indices; correlation of residents and non-residents among applicants; distribution of documents by technology elements, problems, types of technical solutions, etc.; as well as lists of patent document numbers, lists of the most sizeable groups of patent documents with identical unified and bibliographical indicators. Bulletins are presented in PDF format.
Patent databases are the lists of carefully-selected patents and patent applications in specific sectors of energy technologies (usually for a 20-25 year period). Each document is provided with conventional bibliographical and original unified indices that, in accordance with specially-developed proprietary methodology, reflect technological belonging, problems, and the type of technical solution proposed. Also, rating points are calculated for the majority of patent documents. All databases are configured in the convenient and comprehensible format of an Excel table. Using the filtration elements of the table, a user can obtain different configurations of patent information, including basic statistics or more refined combinations of patent document lists with specific indices. The database also includes basic statistical data represented in the form of separate lists, tables and diagrams for illustrative purposes.
Patent reviews cover long-term timespans (not less than 20 years) of patenting activity in individual sectors of energy industry on the basis of carefully-selected patents and patent applications. The reviews propose an extended set of statistical data for the selection of collected patent documents, detailed analysis of patent solutions in separate unified groups, and lists of patent document numbers. Patent reviews are provided in PDF format.
Extended patent reports include a full set of patenting information in individual sectors of energy technologies compiled on the basis of the aforementioned variants. Each report includes a patent database in the form of an Excel table, a patent review, and detailed lists of patent documents in various categories in PDF format (distribution of patent documents by unified groups, by applicants, by groups of International Patent Classification). Considering the volume of information involved this variant of patent analysis results in the most powerful and convenient instrument for the evaluation of intellectual property state in a specific energy sector.
