Energy Exhibitions & Conferences

November calendar: many events, many innovations

November 2019 will be very busy for renewable energy events in the form of international exhibitions and conferences. Offshore wind energy, photovoltaics, the LED industry, energy storage, CSP this is not a complete list of industrial topics  the organizers are inviting participants to review at their events.

At the end of November the annual WindEurope Offshore 2019 exhibition and conference on the subject of how offshore wind will help Europe go carbon neutral, will be held in Copenhagen. Today, offshore wind energy occupies less than 5% of the total installed capacity, with approximately 25,000 MW worldwide. However, according to several forecasts, by 2030 and even more so by 2050, these capacities will increase many times over, and mainly in Europe. Hence the growing interest in such an event. The upcoming conference will be attended by approximately 9,000 specialists in wind energy, and 250 speakers will offer their ideas on the development of this industry. A parallel exhibition will feature more than 400 exhibits with the latest innovative offers. Among the participants are many well-known representatives of various profiles (manufacturers, associations, media), for example, the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), Iberdrola, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S, Renewable UK, Shell International, Siemens AG, Windpower Monthly.

Another event on a similar topic will be held between 11-12th of November in London, where the 10th Offshore and Floating Wind Europe Conference 2019 will be held under the auspices of the New Energy Update
a joint international business conference and a small exhibition dedicated to one of its most difficult areas in addition to offshore wind energy floating wind turbines. More than five hundred participants occupying leading positions in their companies plan to arrive in London, and about a hundred speakers will present their thoughts on the development of offshore wind energy. In parallel with these conferences, another event will be held here The International Tidal Energy Summit.

Solar energy in November is represented by many events, among which it is necessary to highlight Intersolar India and CSP Madrid 2019.
The next international exhibition Intersolar India 2019 will take place as usual in Bangalore in late November. At the same time, several parallel events will take place here – the Intersolar India Conference and two exhibitions
EES India, Power2Drive India. Intersolar India will be attended by more than 200 companies, with a total of about 300 exhibits. More than 500 delegates plan to attend the conference; more than 150 speakers will present their views on the development of the industry. Among the participants are manufacturers, suppliers, distributors of solar technologies, system providers and integrators, project developers, suppliers of network infrastructure and many other specialists from 14 countries, including in addition to India China, Germany, USA, Japan.

CSP Madrid 2019 (Organizer
New Energy Update), a combined conference and exhibition, which will be held in mid-November in Madrid, is the most important annual international event in the field of concentration and storage of solar energy, hybrid systems, and other applications of solar energy. Many well-known companies and organizations are planning to take part in the event. In recent years the technology of concentrating solar energy seems to have received an additional impetus for development, not at the expense of its traditional pioneers the United States and Spain, but at the expense of new players from Morocco, South Africa and China. In addition, the successful operational experience of solar stations with concentration of solar energy and thermal energy storage opens up broad prospects for this technology. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the total increase in CSP capacities by 2050 could increase from the current 5 GW to more than 600 GW. In addition, applications of concentrated solar energy are expanding for a variety of industrial and research applications such as: the use of CSP for the extraction of heavy oil (projects in Oman and the USA); recent experiments by the German Aerospace Center to create a high-temperature centrifugal solar receiver CentRec; the research solar complexes of Odeillo solar furnace in France or the solar furnace of Uzbekistan, etc. Thus, regular events in Madrid can become an important and timely element of this development.

The LED industry is another dynamically developing area that today largely determines the face of the modern design of cities and buildings, both in terms of aesthetic design and energy efficiency. There are many estimates and forecasts for the development of this sector which offer very broad guidelines. Nevertheless, many agree that by 2025, the Global LED Lighting Market may exceed $ 100 billion with an average annual growth rate of 10-13%. Most of all, this will affect residential buildings and architectural design. It is also no secret that a significant increase in consumption is expected in Asian countries, and especially in India. Therefore, the upcoming LED Expo New Delhi 2019, which will take place between 14-16th November, organized by Messe Frankfurt, will be a real chance for many participants to improve and expand their businesses. About 350 participants are planning to take part in the exhibition, exhibiting in an area of about 14,000 m². The organizers are expecting about 10,000 visitors, which was the number of attendees last year.

A day earlier, the similar annual LED + Elektro exhibition starts in the Netherlands. Here 150 representatives from more than 40 countries and more than 6500 visitors are expected to attend. As in India, manufacturers, distributors, providers, developers, researchers and many other representatives of the LED industry gather here. The exhibition will host a large number of specialized seminars.
