Aenert news. Energy Exhibitions & Conferences
This June, several important events dedicated to modern energy and its applications will be held in different countries. We have selected for our brief review European exhibitions and conferences reflecting the current state of photovoltaics, offshore wind energy and the hydrogen economy.
On June 18 and 19, the traditional exhibition and the InterSolar Europe conference dedicated to it will be held in Munich, Germany. Currently, solar energy, especially photovoltaics, is emerging as a leader in renewable energy throughout the world. As of the end of last year, almost 1.5 TW of PV capacity was installed in the world. Over the past ten years, this volume has increased more than 9 times. Today, approximately 5.5% of the world's electricity is generated through photovoltaics. In some countries this figure is significantly higher. For example, in Chile, the share of PV generation in the total volume of generated electricity reaches 20%. InterSolar's series of multi-year exhibitions around the world have certainly contributed to this. Around 1,500 exhibitors and 2,010 suppliers present solar energy products and services are expected to attend the upcoming event. Together with The smarter E Europe, it is planned to receive more than 115,000 visitors.

From June 19 to 21, the annual Electrical Energy Storage with an emphasis on Green Hydrogen, Fuell Cells and Power-to-Gas will be held at Messe Munich. Approximately 1,090 suppliers of energy storage and around 70 suppliers of hydrogen solutions will be presented here. The professional composition of participants at this event will be as follows: EPC / project development, Business development, Manufacturers / suppliers, Energy supply / grid management, Consulting, Investment / financial consulting, Research & development. Among the technological areas at EES2024 the following will be presented - Energy storage systems, Energy storage technologies, Hydrogen and power-to-gas, Energy storage system components and equipment, Battery production technologies/ machine and plant construction.

On the same days in June, Global Offshore Wind 2024 will take place in Manchester in the UK.

The offshore wind industry has experienced strong growth in recent years. One of the leaders in this process is Great Britain. The high cost of installing and operating offshore wind turbines is often seen as a major challenge for this industry. So, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration Overnight Capital Costs for New Electricity Generating Plants for onshore installations is just over $1,566/kW, and for offshore installations it is already $6,672/kW. This is a very significant difference.

More than 5,000 attendees and 260 exhibitors from 50 countries are expected to attend the upcoming event. Among the participants you will see such well-known companies as Vestas, Orsted, Equinor, RWE and others.

Another exhibition, Electric & hybrid marine Europe, dedicated to marine technology, will take place from 18 to 20 June in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Issues under consideration will include, among others, Electric/hybrid propulsion technology and systems, Energy storage solutions, Supercapacitors, Ship-to-shore power, Wireless charging, Connectors, Fuel cell technology, Vessel engineering and design, Electric outboards, Electric inboards, Permanent magnet motors, Brushless motors, Thermal management, Fire suppression systems, Automation systems/solutions, Converters, Inverters, Diesel/electric generators, Gensets, Alternative fuels, Test and measurement tools, Simulation software, Autonomous technology, Waste heat recovery systems, Electric /hybrid control systems, Electric pod, bow and side thrusters.
