Energy Exhibitions & Conferences

Events calendar. August 2022

Despite the summer season, this year’s august offers at least two important events in the world of modern energy. Firstly, in the beginning of august Japan LNG & Gas Summit 2022 will be held in Tokyo, while in the end of the month Brazilian Sao Paolo will host Latin America’s largest exhibition and conference for the solar industry Intersolar South America 2022.

These two events are remarkable because they are held in the times of exacerbation of problems in world energy industry and concern its key focus areas related to fossil fuel and renewable energy. Arrival of 300 attendees from twenty countries over the world and presentations by more than 45 speakers are expected at Tokyo summit. Subject matter of the summit is devoted to burning questions in natural gas production and transportation of LNG, hydrogen, and ammonia.

It should be mentioned that global volume of LNG supplies has surpassed that of pipeline transport and reached more than 500 bcm per year. As of today, Asia Pacific countries along with Europe are primary consumers of LNG, and Japan is the world leader in liquified gas import with the volume of 100 bcm per year.

Also, great prospects are linked to the development of hydrogen energy, where Asia Pacific countries and, first of all, Japan are in the lead as well. In this regard, experience exchange, provision of information about future projects, analysis of existing problems, etc. at the upcoming summit will be a necessary and, what is crucial, timely contribution to sustaining global energy balance.

The upcoming Intersolar South America exhibition can be considered as no less important event with 400 exhibitors and more than 30 000 visitors expected. This is substantially more compared to 2019, when 25 000 people visited this exhibition.

Expo Center Norte, San Paulo, Brazil

Presently, solar energy is the fastest growing renewable energy sector. According to REN 21 estimates, total global capacity in solar photovoltaics reached 942 GW in 2021. However, South America accounts for only a modest 20 GW of these, with the majority of this capacity concentrated in Brazil. Nevertheless, the region has unique solar resources for both the development of photovoltaics and concentrating solar power, and for solar collector technologies. Obviously, large-scale investments, advanced legislative solutions and business interest are required.

All these elements of development will be considered to one degree or another at the upcoming exhibition and associated events. For instance, the complete value chain of PV and ST for photovoltaic cells and solar modules, solar tracking systems, product distribution features, and many of the latest technological achievements from world leaders will be presented in details.

Particular attention at this event will be paid to the issues of increasing the efficiency of solar technologies and energy storage.
